My Own Monster
A game for the Acerola Game Jam.
It's a bullet hell-lite crossed with a pet simulator-lite, a fun little game where you eat people, and use that power to eat more, bigger people.
There will be a long loading time upon pressing the okay button on the tutorial screen. Give it a while please, it's loading in everything.

Smitty Werbenjagermonsterjensen vs flying statue of liberty robot. This game is amazing lmao.
the game's really cool i like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got way too many points and skipped to wave 15 where there are no monsters
This is really fun, and I also like the persistent upgrades you can get. I thought it was a little odd that you die from just one hit. I also noticed that the obstacle planes weren't relevant early in the level just because I was coasting on the bottom while eating the people (I think?). You might want to consider adding them in gradually like you did the cops or making something that forces the player to move around the screen more. I also agree that the controls intro for Shield and Fireball in the beginning was confusing when I didn't have it available to me yet. Otherwise, I really like the concept, and it's been a fun game so far!
Very cool! I got to fireball status. I like the idea of permanent upgrades with the wave-style game.
One thing I will say is that the health system was very confusing to me. I thought the health bar in the top was mine, but it kept going down, and I would die in one hit anyways despite constant upgrades.
Also, I would recommend to wait to give the controls for shield and fireball until after the player unlocks those. Giving those controls at the very beginning and the player not having them can seem confusing.
Awesome game!
